Historical bobsleigh run

Nothing for weak nerves!
Bobsleigh history was written here. The legendary Olympic bobsleigh run on Lake Riessersee was considered one of the most dangerous routes. In addition to various Bavarian, German, European and World Championships, the bobsleigh races of the 1936 Winter Olympics were also held here.
Today the world-famous race track is under monument protection. It has become a year-round attraction for hikers and sports fans. Hiking through is possible without any problems with sturdy shoes. To find out more about the background, you have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour. These usually take place every Wednesday - from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Participation and entry are free.
Only 350 m from the finish is the “bobsleigh shed” with 17 historic bobsleighs and other interesting exhibits. Original film material recreates the atmosphere of past sporting events.
