WICHTIGE ANREISE INFORMATION:
Die B2 ist dann unter halbseitiger Sperrung zwischen Eschenlohe und Oberau mit Ampelreglung befahrbar. Die halbseitige Sperrung bleibt auch an den Wochenenden bestehen. Daher empfehlen wir, ab dem 14. Oktober 2019 ausreichend Zeit für Ihre Reise nach Farchant einzuplanen. Die Baufertigstellung ist für spätestens 6. Dezember 2019 geplant.

THE FARCHANTER OUTDOOR HOT-AIR BATH HAS BEEN CLOSED
The Farchanter outdoor hot-air bath has been closed since 09th September 2019. It will be reopen for the new outdoor pool season in May 2020. We would like to thank all guestes and look forward to seeing you again next year.
Farchant is a climatic health resort again!
Just before Christmas, the village of Farchant received a special gift: recognition as a “Luftkurort” (climatic health resort).
After almost four decades, the town is permitted to use the title of “Luftkurort” again – all of the requirements for recognition have been met.
First, though extensive measurements, analyses and assessments had to be carried out. For example, air quality was tested both in the village itself and in the surroundings in different seasons. The beneficial climatic conditions in the village are shown clearly by a climate analysis and a supplementary medical and climatological study.
Closing times of the Cable Cars due to inspections!
It´s time for the traditional inspection at the cable cars.
Zugspitze
Cogwheel-train: 11.06.2018 - 15.06.2018. You can reach the Zugspitze during this period with the cable car.
Gletscherbahn cable car to the top of Zugspitze: 08.05.2018 - 10.05.2018 sowie 14.05.2018 - 16.05.2018. During this period you can only get to the glacier not to the peak.
Ski season ends at 01.05.2018

Alpspitzbahn/Hochalmbahn: 03.04.2018 - 08.06.2018
Kreuzeckbahn: 03.04.2018 - 18.05.2018
Hausbergbahn: ab 03.04.2018 closed during summer season. Reopens with the beginning of the Ski season.
Ski Season of Garmisch-Classic ends at 08.04.2018.

New record-breaking calble car
The new Zugspitze Cable Car is in operation at Germany’s highest since December 2017. In addition to breaking three world records in technology, it offers winter sports enthusiasts and excursionists a breathtaking panorama as it whisks them to the peak. Thanks to snow-farming, the ski season started already at the Zugspitze.
Free use of the regional busses (RVO) with your tourist-pass /Gästekarte Farchant!
Just arrive in Farchant, leave your car safely behind and experience the beautiful area and visitor´s attractions relaxed by bus. Since 1st of December 2015 you can use the regional busses (lines ….) to Oberammergau, Füssen or Mittenwald for free with your tourist-pass / Gästekarte Farchant!
No extra costs as often as you want!

WLAN/WiFi at the Tourist Information Center
Quickly and conveniently read and answer your emails, check the weather forecast for the upcoming days online, or look through the current program of events. You can do all that with the WLAN/WiFi hotspot in the Farchant Tourist Information Center free of charge and with no limitation of data or time.
At the Tourist Information Center, you will receive the access code free of charge on presentation of your Farchant "Gästekarte" (Tourist Pass), so that you can go online with your own smartphone, tablet, or laptop computer.
