If this is your first time on skis, the “Am Ried” beginners’ slope in Farchant is the perfect place.

Just a snowball’s throw away from the winter resort of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The “Am Ried” slope in Farchant is groomed daily, snow conditions permitting, and especially offers children, adolescents, and beginners ideal skiing conditions. Snow machines ensure sufficient snow cover and optimum skiing.

Opening hours
The lift runs from 1 PM to 4:30 PM Mondays to Fridays and from 9 AM to 4:30 PM on weekends and during vacation times.
Every Friday, there is night skiing until 9:30 PM (snow conditions allowing)!

Would you like to ski like a pro, but haven’t ever been on skis? Then it’s time to finally give it a try! With professional instruction, beginners and “re-beginners” get the optimum preparation for their career in the snow.
You can rent the appropriate skis, ski boots, and poles in Peter Fichtl’s shop. And you can conveniently store your rental equipment right at the Am Ried ski slope overnight.
