39 Höllentalklamm Eine Wanderung durch die Klamm, die bereits vor über 100 Jahren touristisch erschlossen wurde, ist ein unvergessliches Erlebnis, denn die Höllentalklamm bietet eine einzigartige, bizarre Landschaft und präsentiert einen tollen Einblick in die Gewalten der Natur. Schluchten von bis zu 150 Meter Tiefe, zahllose Wasserfälle, riesige Felsbrocken (ist im Winter geschlossen, keine Eisbrocken) sowie verschlungene Wege, Stege, Brücken und Tunnel laden zu einem optischen Abenteuer ein. Die Höllentalklamm eignet sich sowohl als überschaubare Wanderung, als auch als Zwischenstation für Tagestouren. Dabei erfrischt das kühle, feuchte Klima in der Schlucht gerade an Hochsommertagen und belohnt den Aufstieg entlang des Hammersbachs. Die Höllentalklamm liegt in der Nähe von Grainau, dem Dorf direkt am Fuße der Zugspitze. Sie starten direkt vom Haus Hammersbach am Fuße des Waxensteins zu Ihrer Tour. Parkplätze stehen zu Ihrer Verfügung. Aber auch mit dem Bus bzw. der Zugspitzbahn erreichen Sie die Ausgangspunkte der Tour. Vom Haus Hammersbach aus führt der Wanderweg direkt am Hammersbach entlang ca. 2,7 km und ca. 300 Höhenmeter in 1 bis 1,5 Stunden zur Klammeingangshütte (1047m). Ravines up to 150 meters (492 feet) deep, countless waterfalls, huge blocks of rock, plus exciting winding paths, grid walkways, bridges and tunnels invite you on a visual adventure. The Höllental Gorge can be done as a hike through the gorge only or can be part of a longer day hike combination. The cool, moist climate in the gorge is wonderfully refreshing on a hot summer day and a perfect reward for the ascent along the Hammersbach stream. The Höllentalklamm/Hell’s Gorge is located near Grainau, the picture-perfect village at the base of the Zugspitze mountain. You start your hike at the Haus Hammersbach hotel at the base of the Waxenstein peaks. Parking is available. You can also take a bus or the the cogwheel train, Zugspitzbahn, to the trail head. From the Haus Hammersbach hotel follow the trail along the Hammersbach stream for around 2.7 km with an elevation gain of around 300 meters for 1 to 1.5 hours to the front entrance to the gorge at the Klammeingangshütte lodge (1047 vertical meters) .
